Licences and imagery sources

This page lists:

• the public agencies whose aerial imagery you can show in ODRMaker, with the licence and the full attribution for each layer (section 1);
• the open-source software included in the ODRMaker editor, with its copyright notices (section 2);
• the full text of those software licences (section 3).

The editor shows a short attribution for the active imagery layer. On narrow screens that line may be shortened. The full attribution is always the one given on this page.

1. Imagery sources

1.1 Layers

Imagery is off by default. When you turn on a layer, your browser loads it directly from the publisher's server. The publishers listed here do not endorse ODRMaker, its users or anything made with it.

1.2 Additional notes by layer

France (BD ORTHO). The Licence Ouverte requires the source and the date of its last update, or a link to the source. The dataset page linked above gives the current edition. The capture date of the image under your view is shown in the editor's status bar.

Spain (PNOA). IGN's licence conditions set the form of the attribution: product, date, licence and producer. The editor shows the latest available coverage (PNOA máxima actualidad). Its flight dates differ from area to area, and the status bar shows the date for your view. For material derived from this layer, IGN asks for the form "Obra derivada de PNOA CC-BY 4.0 scne.es".

Japan (GSI seamless photo). The layer is built from different sources at different zoom levels. Each source adds its own attribution to the GSI one.

• Zoom levels 2–8: Images on 世界衛星モザイク画像 obtained from site https://lpdaac.usgs.gov/data_access maintained by the NASA Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC), USGS/Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
• Zoom levels 9–13: データソース：Landsat8画像（GSI, TSIC, GEO Grid/AIST）, Landsat8画像（courtesy of the U.S. Geological Survey）, 海底地形（GEBCO）.
• Zoom levels 14–18: GSI aerial photography (電子国土基本図（オルソ画像）and other GSI and public sources). In some places Landsat-8 imagery (NASA/USGS) is used. Around Okinotorishima (20°24′28″ N – 20°27′21″ N, 136°03′58″ E – 136°08′25″ E) GRUS imagery is used: GRUS画像（© Axelspace）.

"地理院タイル" and "地理院地図" are registered trademarks of GSI.

Wallonia (SPW). Use of the SPW web services is also subject to the SPW conditions of access and use of geographic viewing services.

Switzerland (swisstopo). Use of the service is also subject to the FSDI terms of use, including their fair-use limits.

United States (NAIP). NAIP imagery is in the public domain. The attribution is given as a courtesy and is not a condition of use.

1.3 How the imagery is shown

The editor shows the imagery as the publisher's service delivers it. The editor may scale it on screen and draw your road network over it. It does not store, alter or redistribute the imagery itself.

Road networks you trace over imagery are your own work, derived from it. When you download a file that you edited over an imagery layer, the editor writes the layer's name, licence and attribution into the file (the odrmaker:provenance record). If you share such a file, keep that record, or give the attribution from this page alongside the file. See section 6 of our Terms of Service.

2. Open-source software

The ODRMaker editor that runs in your browser includes the open-source components listed below. Each is used under its own licence. The licence texts are in section 3. Nothing in our Terms of Service restricts your rights under these licences.

About the Package column. It names the npm module as it appears in the editor's built files, so that each release can be checked against what it actually ships rather than against this table being remembered. A dash means the component has no module of its own there: Tailwind CSS contributes generated styles rather than code, and the MapLibre components listed after MapLibre GL JS are published inside its own pre-built file and ship as part of it. @vis.gl/react-google-maps is present only in builds that include Google Maps.
