ODRMaker Terms of Service

Effective date: 19 October 2026

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of ODRMaker, the browser-based road network editor at https://odrmaker.com (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

The Service is provided by GEORGY FIDELIN PR ("we", "us", "our"), a sole proprietor (preduzetnik) registered in the Republic of Serbia:

You can contact us at hello@odrmaker.com.

If you use the Service on behalf of a company or another organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf. In that case "you" includes that organisation.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. For questions about personal data, write to privacy@odrmaker.com.

2. The Service

ODRMaker lets you open, create and edit road networks in the ASAM OpenDRIVE® format (.xodr files) and download them. You can work over aerial imagery published by public agencies (section 6).

Your files are processed in your browser. Opening, editing and saving happen on your device, and your files are not uploaded to our servers, unless you choose to send one to us yourself (section 4, "Feedback and messages").

The Service is intended for professional use in engineering, research, testing and simulation. It is currently free of charge. If we introduce paid plans, they will be subject to additional terms, which you will see and accept before you pay.

We develop the Service continuously. We may add, change or remove features. The Service may be unavailable during maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We do not guarantee that the Service, or any feature of it, will be available at any particular time.

3. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

You can open and edit files without an account. Some features, such as downloading files, require you to sign in, either with a Google account or with a one-time code that we send to your email address. You are responsible for keeping your Google account and your email account secure, and for not sharing a sign-in code with anyone. You are also responsible for activity under your ODRMaker account that results from a failure to do so. If you think someone else has used your account, tell us promptly at hello@odrmaker.com.

You can delete your account at any time with Delete account in the account menu. This deletes your account data on our side immediately. It does not affect:

4. Your content

"Your Content" means the files you open in the Service and the road networks you create or edit with it.

You keep all rights to Your Content. Your Content is processed in your browser and is not sent to us, unless you choose to send it to us yourself (see "Feedback and messages" below). These Terms give us no licence to it beyond what that subsection describes.

You are responsible for Your Content. You confirm that:

The Service keeps a working copy of your current document in your browser, so that you do not lose work when the page reloads. This is not a backup. Keep your own copies of anything important. We cannot restore your files or the working copy, because we never have them.

Road network files. The OpenDRIVE (.xodr) files you create or edit with the Service are Your Content. You may use, modify, share and sell them for any purpose, including commercially, without paying us or crediting ODRMaker. If such a file contains anything that comes from us, such as default values or standard marking shapes, you have a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use it as part of the file. Section 6 still applies.

Feedback and messages

You can send us questions, bug reports, feedback and suggestions by email or with the contact form in the editor (Help → Contact us).

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

Reporting vulnerabilities. If you find a security vulnerability, please report it to hello@odrmaker.com, and give us reasonable time to fix it before you disclose it. We will not take action against good-faith research that respects other users' privacy and does not disrupt the Service.

6. Aerial imagery from third parties

Who provides it. The imagery layers in the Service are published by public agencies, for example ČÚZK in Czechia, IGN in France and the USGS in the United States. Each agency publishes its imagery under its own licence. Most are open licences, such as CC BY 4.0 or the Licence Ouverte / Etalab 2.0. We do not own the imagery. The editor shows the publisher and licence of the active layer. The full list of layers, licences and attributions is on our Imagery sources page.

How it is loaded. Imagery is off by default. When you turn on a layer, your browser loads it directly from the agency's server. The agency's own conditions of use for that service then apply, in addition to these Terms.

No guarantee of accuracy. We show imagery as its publisher provides it. We do not guarantee that a layer is available, complete, current or correctly positioned. In particular:

Whatever you trace over imagery inherits these errors. Where accuracy matters, check positions against a reliable reference.

Attribution when you share files. Most imagery licences require anyone who shares material derived from the imagery to credit its source. When you download a file that you edited over an imagery layer, the Service writes the layer's name, licence and attribution into the file (the odrmaker:provenance record). When you distribute a file made over imagery, you are responsible for complying with the imagery licence. In particular:

Fair use of imagery services. Do not use the Service to download imagery in bulk, or to store or redistribute image tiles outside the Service. Do not use it in any way that places an excessive load on an agency's servers. Do not hide or remove the attribution that the editor displays.

Changes. We may add, change or remove imagery layers at any time, for example when a publisher changes its terms or its service.

7. No safety-critical use without your own validation

The Service is an engineering tool for creating road network descriptions for simulation, testing, research and development. It is not designed, tested or certified:

Files created with the Service may contain errors in geometry, topology, attributes or georeferencing. You must validate every file independently before you rely on it, whether in simulation, testing, validation, homologation, certification or elsewhere. You are responsible for the results of using it.

The Service's validation messages help you find problems. They do not certify conformance with the ASAM OpenDRIVE standard or fitness for any purpose.

8. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, its design, and the ODRMaker name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms, for any lawful purpose, including commercial work for yourself, your organisation or your clients. All other rights are reserved.

The Service includes open-source components. Each is licensed under its own terms, listed under Open-source software. Nothing in these Terms restricts your rights under those licences.

Trademarks. ASAM OpenDRIVE® is a registered trademark of ASAM e.V. ODRMaker is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or certified by ASAM e.V. Google is a trademark of Google LLC. Other names may be trademarks of their respective owners.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties or representations, express or implied. This includes warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. In particular, we do not warrant that:

If you use the Service as a consumer, you have statutory rights that these Terms do not affect, for example regarding the conformity of digital content and services.

10. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:

Subject to the paragraph above:

If you are a consumer, this section applies only as far as the mandatory law of your country of residence permits.

11. Indemnity

This section applies only if you use the Service for business purposes, not to consumers.

You will indemnify us against claims by third parties, and against the resulting losses and reasonable costs, that arise from:

This does not apply to the extent that the claim is caused by our breach of these Terms, our gross negligence or our wilful misconduct. We will notify you promptly of any such claim and let you control its defence.

12. Sanctions and export control

You confirm that:

In both cases this means sanctions of the United Nations, the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States or the Republic of Serbia. You must not use the Service, or files created with it, in breach of sanctions or export control laws that apply to you.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account.

We may suspend or end your access to the Service, or delete your account, if:

Where reasonable, we will tell you in advance and explain why.

We may also discontinue the Service. If we do, we will announce it on the website at least 30 days in advance, unless that is impossible for reasons outside our control.

Sections 4, 6 (attribution), 7, 9, 10, 11, 15 and 16 continue to apply after these Terms end.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms, for example to reflect changes to the Service or the law. We will publish the new version with a new effective date. For material changes, we will inform account holders by email or in the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. A shorter period applies only if the law requires it or if we must address a security risk.

If you do not agree to the changes, stop using the Service and delete your account before they take effect. If you continue to use the Service after that date, the new Terms apply.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia. Its conflict-of-law rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods do not apply.

If you use the Service for business purposes, the courts in Belgrade, Serbia, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms.

If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence. You may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence as well as in Serbia.

Before going to court, please contact us at hello@odrmaker.com. Most issues can be resolved quickly that way.
